Cleansing Grains Make these cleansing grains ahead of time and store them in an airtight container. Mix them with a bit of water or tea, or even full fat milk or whipping cream to make a creamy, paste-like mixture. When applied to the skin, it will gently cleanse and remove surface impurities. 1 tablespoon finely ground oats 1 tablespoon finely ground almonds 1 tablespoon finely ground rose petals 1 tablespoon finely ground lavender buds 1 tablespoon cosmetic clay (I like bentonite or kaolin) Tone Thyme Mix up this bottle of tea and essential oils to balance the pH of your skin after cleansing. It's easy ... it's cooling ... and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed! Place the ingredients in a glass bottle. Essential oils do not dissolve in water or tea so be sure to shake this mixture well before each use to make sure the essential oils are dispersed. Use a cotton pad to apply to face and neck area after cleansing. Yum!! 2 ounces green tea 5 drops lavender essential oil 5 drops geranium essential oil Dew Me Baby Moisturizer Combine this simple but effective mixture and apply to your skin after your toner to nourish and moisturize your skin. Use a 1-ounce glass bottle, preferably with a medicine dropper top for easy dispensing. fill the bottle half with rosewater and half with jojoba (pronounced "ho-ho-ba") oil add 2 drops rose oil Shake well before each use to mix the ingredients. Use the medicine dropper to place a bit of the moisturizer in your palm and warm gently before applying to your face and neck to nourish and soothe. Clarifying Mineral Masque The green clay in this mixture will absorb excessive oils, and the sage and lavender are antiseptic and resist the growth of acne-producing bacteria. 1 tablespoon green clay 1/2 teaspoon sage, ground 1 teaspoon lavender flowers, fresh or dried, crushed1 1/2 tablespoons water Combine ingredients, apply to clean face and let dry. Lay a wet wash cloth over the face to soften, then remove gently. Follow with a natural, nonpetroleum moisturizer. May be used once a week.
